Hampshire Regional YMCA is seeking a Facility Director to lead maintenance, repairs, and operations across the organization’s facilities, pools, and outdoor campus. This role oversees contractors, schedules preventive maintenance, and directs a small team of facility and housekeeping staff.

The ideal candidate has extensive maintenance management experience, strong project and budget skills, and excellent communication abilities to support our community-focused mission.

Qualifications

• Three or more years' experience in maintenance management or closely related field.
• Minimum two years experience in a supervisory position.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Hands-on facility maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor work order systems.
• Oversee all contractors and request bids; select contractors.
• Lead planning for daily, weekly, monthly and annual repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure proper operation of mechanical systems including swimming pools.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and direct facility & housekeeping staff (5-10).
• Manage budget for facility department.

The Hampshire Regional YMCA is looking for a new Facility Director to join our fun, dynamic team! The Y provides essential services to our community members regardless of age, income, or background. Our ideal candidate is passionate about our mission and serving the community. The facility on Prospect St includes two pools, a gymnasium, locker rooms, playgrounds, parking lots, lawns, and assorted other indoor spaces. We also operate an outdoor summer camp on Norwich Lake in Huntington. The Facility Director is responsible for overseeing maintenance of all these areas.Job Duties:Responsible for hands-on facility maintenance and repairsMonitor work order systemsOversee all contractors working in the facility, including requesting bids and recommending selection of contractorsLead the planning for daily, weekly, monthly and annual repairs and maintenanceEnsure proper operation of all mechanical systems including swimming poolsHire, train, evaluate, and direct all facility & housekeeping staff (5-10 staff)Manage budget for facility departmentThree or more years' experience in maintenance management or closely related fieldMinimum two years experience in a supervisory positionHigh school diploma or equivalent required, associate's degree preferredAbility to operate or learn to tractor, gator, table saw, jig saw, power sanders, chop saw, grinders, paint sprayers, generators, lawn equipment, power drills, boat motors, scissor lifts, and screw, nail guns are preferredWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems, carpentryCPO certification preferred, or required to obtain within the first 120 days of employmentMust have strong written & oral communication skills, excellent project managementAbility & current license to drive with a record that meets YMCA standardsBenefits include health, dental & vision insurance, life & long-term disability insurance, retirement, flexible spending account, a generous PTO bank, and a free membership to the Y.
