The YMCA of the North Shore is looking for a Facilities Technician – Housing to support our housing properties and other YMCA locations.Committed to our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility, you'll help provide safe, clean, and comfortable living environments for our residents while supporting the maintenance needs of our facilities.️ What You'll DoPerform routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general building repairs.Complete apartment turnovers, including painting, patching, caulking, and minor repairs.Conduct preventive maintenance and inspect units and common areas for safety concerns.Maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping, snow removal, and sidewalk safety.Respond to urgent maintenance requests and document completed work.Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies, and coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.Communicate with residents and staff to coordinate maintenance needs and priorities. QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED/HiSET, or equivalent experience required.5–10 years of experience in facilities or residential maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.Familiarity with housing codes, fire safety regulations, and building maintenance standards.Ability to troubleshoot issues, work independently, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks.
