Job summary

RTX is seeking a Facilities Manager, Mechanical Design in Andover, MA to lead mechanical building system projects, coordinate with design disciplines, and drive commissioning and close-out. The role emphasizes boiler and cooling system expertise, with travel within the region as needed.

The successful candidate will oversee design, estimations, schedules, and design integration across architectural, electrical, and IT interfaces, ensuring safety and quality standards throughout the project

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in building mechanical engineering.
• Experience with boilers, refrigeration, cooling skids, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, VAV systems, compressed air systems, nitrogen systems.
• Experience with construction PM including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, contractor coordination, commissioning, close-out.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for building systems and equipment installations.
• Support projects from design through bid, construction, and close-out.
• Estimate projects, schedule, size heating and cooling equipment, calculate heat loads.
