Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking an on-site housekeeper to clean and maintain common areas of a residential property. Duties include polishing, mopping, restroom cleaning, and notification of any repairs. The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs, adherence to safety rules, and reliable attendance.

The position offers full-time hours with benefits including dental and vision, time off, and a 401(k) plan with company match. Occasional travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Experience/Knowledge/Abilities: 1-2 previous custodial experience preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Special Requirements: Ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs following appropriate safety procedures; complete all required forms. Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Operates vacuum cleaners, polishers, buffers and other cleaning equipment.
• Maintains facility in a clean and sanitary condition through washing and replacement of equipment.
• Cleans restrooms, lobbies, dining areas, corridors, and other assigned spaces daily.
• Handles cleaning solvents and chemicals in compliance with OSHA/EPA guidelines.
• Reports needed repairs to supervisor promptly.
