Job summary

Alabama Goodwill Contract Services Inc. is seeking a custodial worker to maintain cleanliness and safety of our facility in Birmingham. You will perform interior and exterior cleaning, restock supplies, and ensure a welcoming environment for customers and staff.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and follow safety rules. Prior utility experience is helpful, and high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some utility worker experience is required.
• Ability to move, bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the interior and exterior of the facility in compliance with our image and safety standards.
• Clean interior offices, classrooms, break areas, and lobby.
• Dust, vacuum, empty trash, and clean windows and tables.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Transports trash to compactor.
• Monitors vendor services, landscape maintenance, window service, pest control, and property sweep.
• Maintains the custodial checklist.
• Inventories custodial supplies and equipment; notifies the TLC when reorder is needed.
• Reports damaged or non-working equipment to team leader in a timely manner.
