Qualifications

• Minimum one-year office cleaning preferred.
• Great customer service skills, must display a calm attitude.

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
• Ability to stand, walk or bend for many hours and ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time
• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
• Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers and cleaning solutions
• Reliable transportation required
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules

Responsibilities

• Gathers and empties trash, inside and outside the building.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties and cleans, polishes and dusts furniture, blinds, walls, equipment, fixtures, desks and other items.
• Scrubbs, sanitizes and supplies restroom facilities including sinks, floors and commodes.
• Cleans windows, mirrors and partitions.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs and vacuums floors in all areas including entry ways, corridors, stairways, elevators.
• Is responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Replenishes supplies and materials in assigned areas and rooms.
• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair as well as report any problems.
• Follows all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Properly cleans and maintains custodian equipment.
• Reports and notifies manager(s) regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routine uses standard cleaning supplies.
