Job summary

Gaudenzia, Inc. in Philadelphia seeks a full-time custodian to maintain cleanliness in offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Under moderate supervision, you will perform routine cleaning, floor care, trash removal, and basic groundskeeping.

• Ability to read and understand labels, instructions, etc.
• One year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans all offices, meeting rooms, reception and common areas daily: Vacuum rugs, sweep, mop and wax floors.
• Dust, clean and polish furniture and equipment.
• Empty all trash containers and place in outside Dumpster/Container.
• Cleans, scrubs, and paints all bathrooms, hallways, etc.
• Sweeps and mops all hallways and stairways daily.
• Wax and buff floors weekly.
• Cleans all bathrooms twice daily.
• Removes all trash and rubbish from the premises, removes snow and ice from sidewalks.
• Cleans walls twice yearly.
• Maintains security of property; observe safety, sanitation and fire regulations.
• Maintains security and inventory of all cleaning products while on the client floors and in common areas.
• Wash all windows, mirrors and inside glass areas.
• Performs groundskeeping chores, as assigned.
• Participates fully in assigned evacuation drills and understands duties in an emergency.
• And other duties as assigned by operations management team.
• Requests supervision when unclear about work, responsibilities and duties.
