Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Lanham, MD is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness of equipment, facilities and grounds. This non-exempt role is focused on reliable cleaning and safety-minded work across production areas.

You will scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep and mop, move supplies, and assist other departments as needed. Prioritize tasks, follow written and verbal directions, and operate a powered industrial truck when certified. Benefits include health and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
• In some locations, be able and certified to safely operate a powered industrial truck.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures or willing to learn.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
• Work independently, comprehend and follow written or verbal direction.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning of equipment and facilities.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep and mop.
• Move furniture and supplies between departments and to storage.
• Operate a powered industrial truck when certified.
• Keep records of maintenance and restock cleaning supplies.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
