Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Spokane is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness of equipment, facilities and grounds. This role involves heavy cleaning, floor care, and event preparation in a safety-sensitive environment.

Essential duties include sanitizing, trash removal, light maintenance, and assisting other departments as needed. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team in an industrial laundry setting.

Qualifications

• Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
• Be able and certified to safely operate a powered industrial truck where required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and procedures or willingness to learn.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively with a team.
• Work independently, comprehend and follow written or verbal direction.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy cleaning duties and clean plant equipment using appropriate methods.
• Scrub, sanitize, vacuum, sweep and mop floors and areas.
• Dispose of trash, clean spills, replace air fresheners, change light bulbs, and paint as needed.
• Maintain offices, bathrooms, break rooms and other areas.
• Move furniture, supplies or equipment and assist other departments.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE as required.
