Job summary

Wesley Community Center Inc. is seeking a part-time Custodian/Maintenance Worker to maintain the Wesley Community Center, including the Reba Veal Henderson Food Co-op, and its vehicles and equipment.

The role requires routine cleaning, facility upkeep, and basic repairs. The employee reports to the Facilities Manager and collaborates on safety and security policies, with responsibilities spanning daily to yearly tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience.
• Able to read blueprints and perform routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitors building conditions via daily walk-throughs and reports needs.
• Maintains HVAC and other equipment, performing routine service.
• Performs routine electrical and plumbing tasks as needed.
• Cleans and maintains grounds, rooms, and restrooms; moves furniture as required.
• Operates safety procedures and works with Facilities Manager on safety.
