Job summary

Fastenal Co. in High Point, NC is hiring a Full-time Custodian for the NC100 Distribution Center. The role involves cleaning duties, minor repairs, painting, and maintaining a safe, orderly facility overnight.

You will work 11:00pm–7:00am on Mon Tue Wed Thu Sun with a potential schedule flexibility after onboarding; must pass drug screen and lift up to 100lbs. Fastenal provides competitive benefits and a path for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities.
• Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY).

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, mopping, and other bathroom services
• Performing minor repairs and painting at our facility
• Disinfecting commonly touched surfaces like door handles, drinking fountains, counters and tables
• Maintaining inventory supplies for cleaning and ordering products as needed
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
