Responsibilities

• Operate RF scanners, printers and related software.
• Unload incoming product and label it accurately.
• Inspect orders for shipment accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Weigh and measure products as required.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety rules.
• Support health, safety and sustainability initiatives.
• Complete environment health and safety trainings as required.
• Assist in moving product to next departments as needed.

Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Receiving, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. When inventory arrives at the HUB location, you will verify the product and quantity delivered. Then you will prepare the product to move to the next department, product handling. This is an entry level position based out of our distribution center located at 4100 Beechwood Dr, Greensboro, NC 27410. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Unloading product
• Inspecting orders to ensure accuracy of shipment and reporting discrepancies
• Inspecting product for quality and accuracy
• Using a scale for weighing product
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient written and oral communication skills

• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

• Prior experience operating a forklift
