Job summary

Catawba Indian Nation in Rock Hill, SC is hiring a full-time Custodian to maintain and clean tribal facilities. The role involves cleaning floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces while operating cleaning equipment.

You will report supply needs and follow all policies. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of custodial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 12 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Experience: One (1) year’s experience in custodial or housekeeping duties is preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the facility stays clean and sanitized
• Vacuum, mop, sweep, dust, and clean wood, glass, doors, tables, chairs, machines, and carpets
• Responsible for cleanliness of floors in assigned public and employee areas, including all front and back of the building
• Cleaning of bathrooms and kitchen areas
• Maintain and clean equipment used; use equipment properly
• Inform Manager of any cleaning supplies or maintenance concerns needed
• Adhere to all operating policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
