Job summary

Flathead Valley Community College (FVCC) is seeking a Custodian III to perform cleaning and light maintenance of college facilities. The role requires operating cleaning equipment, maintaining safe facilities, and supporting events and daily operations.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with a schedule of Wednesday through Saturday 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and retirement plans through FVCC and state programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in commercial cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and safety standards.
• Ability to read and follow directions and maintain safety practices.
• Willingness to participate in training and ensure confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Cleans offices, classrooms, restrooms and related areas; stocks dispensers and disposables.
• Maintains college equipment, furniture and buildings.
• Performs floor cleaning, waxing and carpet care.
• Replaces light fixtures and moves furniture as needed.
• Ensures safety and security; reports malfunctions or hazards to supervisor.
• Attends trainings and supports college events and committees.
