Job summary

The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians are seeking a Maintenance Custodian I in Siletz, Oregon. This full-time, non-exempt role supports custodial services across tribal facilities, performing cleaning, basic maintenance, and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with custodial experience, and be able to work flexible hours, lift heavy items, and follow safety guidelines in diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 6 months experience in custodial/maintenance or 1 year experience in custodial/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and light maintenance in Siletz Tribal facilities.
• Dusts furniture; mops, scrubs, waxes, and buffs floors; vacuums carpets; empties wastebaskets; cleans walls, windows, blinds; washes cups and coffee equipment; dusts ceiling fixtures.
• Performs aseptic cleaning in medical rooms as directed.
• Handles hazardous waste per procedures and safely transports hazardous materials.
• Know shut-off points for water, electricity, oxygen, and nitrous oxide for emergencies.
• Sorts recyclables; takes inventory; maintains storage areas; replenishes supplies.
• Keeps restrooms clean and stocked; disinfects fixtures; notifies supervisor of damage or needed repairs.
• Secures facility after duties; assists in planning custodial budget; performs other duties as assigned.
