Job summary

Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians is seeking a Maintenance Specialist in Siletz, Oregon. This full-time, non-exempt role supports the Public Works Department with grounds keeping, building maintenance, and routine repairs across tribal properties and roadways.

Responsibilities include plumbing/electrical basics, painting, inspections, snow removal, and equipment operation, with a 24-hour schedule and seasonal changes. Candidates need a HS diploma and related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required; six months to one year in facilities/grounds maintenance preferred.
• Experience with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance including basic plumbing/electrical tasks and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform building and grounds maintenance including plumbing, minor electrical, roof, window and door repairs, drywall, painting and cleaning.
• Maintain grounds and custodial duties, mow lawns, trim plants, prune trees and keep grounds clear of debris.
• Operate large equipment (tractor, lawnmowers) and maintain equipment safely.
• Complete inspections, report unsafe conditions, monitor water systems, and provide coverage for staff as needed.
• Assist with setup and takedown for pow-wow grounds and other tribal events.
