Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is seeking a custodian to join the Tongue Point Job Corps Center team in Astoria, OR. You will perform cleaning tasks across the center, maintain floors, restrooms, and exterior areas, ensuring compliance with directives.

The role is full-time with a wage of $17.32 per hour and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off and holidays, professional development assistance, and career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a custodian preferred.
• Must understand basic cleaning compounds, waxes, polishes, disinfectants, etc, and their proper applications.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds up and down flights of stairs.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and preserve all flooring and/or coverings by sweeping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and buffing.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and other areas on the center.
• Collect and dispose of all trash, litter and other debris found around the buildings and grounds.
• Keep clean the exterior steps, entrances, landings, interior walls, ceilings, light fixtures and sidewalks.
• Work with compounds, waxes, disinfectants and other cleaning agents.
• Duties may also include, weeding, mowing, trimming, fertilizing, reseeding, or planting.
