Job summary

Millennia Housing Management is seeking a Regular Full-Time Custodian at Greenbrier Estates in Beckley, WV. The Custodian handles upkeep of public areas, exteriors, vacant and model units, floor care, and trash removal, including snow removal and litter control.

The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager and requires reading work orders, performing cleaning and groundskeeping, inspections, and equipment operation. Regular attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• One year of maintenance, custodial, or groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to read English to understand work orders.
• Basic troubleshooting and ability to identify and repair components.

Responsibilities

• Read and carry out work orders promptly, thoroughly, and efficiently.
• Carry out cleaning schedules and functions.
• Perform inspections of exteriors, units, equipment, and systems to determine cleaning needs.
• Inspect grounds, parking, and fields to determine work needed.
• Perform a variety of groundskeeping functions.
• Record work, cleaning, and improvements performed.
• Inventory, care for and maintain cleaning products, equipment, and supplies.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and report to supervision.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
• Apply chemicals safely and in accordance with policy.
• Operate in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Maintain a neat uniform and professional appearance.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
