Job summary

Vortex Optics is seeking a dependable Custodian Facilities Maintenance to keep our Barneveld, WI facilities safe, clean, and welcoming. This role combines custodial work with groundskeeping, basic repairs, and event support.

You will work 7:00am–3:00pm Monday–Friday, split between cleaning duties and facility upkeep, supporting a collaborative team in a dynamic environment. Must have a Wisconsin driver’s license and be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous building maintenance and custodial experience.
• Experience in groundskeeping or willingness to perform grounds duties.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform custodial duties.
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and general cleaning duties throughout Vortex buildings and properties.
• Maintain flooring and stairways, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and shared spaces.
• Maintain, repair, and support buildings, equipment, and structures using hand tools and power tools.
• Assist with groundskeeping, landscaping, and snow removal tasks as needed.
• Follow safety rules and policies while delivering high-quality service.
