Job summary

Vortex Optics is seeking a dedicated Binocular Repair team member in Barneveld, WI to repair binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, and tripods. You will test, diagnose, and repair products to factory specifications while supporting customer care and maintaining parts inventory.

Ideal candidates are detail oriented with good hand dexterity, able to work well in a team, and committed to safe practices. Full-time, Monday–Friday, on-site in Barneveld.

Responsibilities

• Repair damaged/malfunctioning binoculars, spotting scopes, tripods, and rangefinders.
• Meet daily workload as a team player, willing to do whatever is needed to get the job done right.
• Assist customer care representatives in answering product questions.
• Test and inspect products to ensure they function to factory specification.
• Contact customers for problem diagnosis or troubleshooting issues.
• Repair products that have failed inspection.
• Handle and identify small parts.
• Disassemble irreparable products for parts.
• Maintain knowledge of products available for replacement.
• Support inventory organization in repair department.
• Work independently and in a team, making repair decisions with minimal direction.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Crosstrain and support other departments during non-peak seasons.
• Other duties as assigned.
