Job summary

Prairie Lakes Wellness Center in Watertown, SD, seeks a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe facility and provide day-to-day direction to part-time cleaning staff.

Responsibilities include restroom upkeep, floor care, window washing, trash removal, and basic repairs. A high school diploma and custodial experience are required; snow and lawn equipment experience is preferred. Schedule listed; background and drug screening required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year work experience in custodial services.
• Must have experience running lawn and snow removal equipment.
• Background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening required.
• Certification in area of expertise as identified by the City (e.g., CPO) may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Keeps restrooms clean and supplied with soap, towels, and paper supplies.
• Sweeps, mops, and buffers floors in offices and hallways.
• Washes windows, screens, walls, and light fixtures.
• Empties garbage cans and other trash receptacles.
• Dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture.
• Cleans carpets and rugs; spot cleaning as needed.
• Assist with deliveries and building-related tasks as directed.
• Perform basic repairs to building and equipment; change filters and bulbs.
