Job summary

Acuity is seeking a Custodian to maintain corporate buildings, equipment, and furniture while overseeing custodial service contractors. This role includes completing setups for corporate, employee, and community events, and ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained.

Some duties may occur outside regular business hours. The position requires custodial experience and flexibility for off-hours shifts, with a focus on safety, organization, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Custodial, building maintenance and event set up experience required.
• Ability to lift/move objects weighing 75 pounds.
• Valid driver license and ability to drive a 30+ foot box truck.
• Near perfect attendance and schedule flexibility to meet ongoing demands of a dynamic environment/facility.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with management, maintenance personnel and service contractors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain kitchen exhaust filters and hoods.
• Clean and restock restrooms throughout the day.
• Clean lower-level offices and storage areas.
• Assist with space set ups for company and community events and provide off hours event support.
• Ensure custodial staff and contractors provide timely, thorough services.
• Prepare weekly reports documenting accomplishments and progress.
• Maintain safety, building use, and evacuation policies.
• Back up third shift custodians on a hybrid shift 1:00-9:00 p.m.
