Job summary

Concern Housing in East Patchogue, NY seeks a Facilities Custodian to perform routine cleaning of the building and renovation/repair of individual apartments.

The role includes cleaning offices and common areas, snow removal, and basic maintenance, with a focus on safe, well-maintained facilities. A High School Diploma is preferred with 6 months+ related experience and a valid driver’s license. Full-time, 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Cleaning knowledge and ability to lift items under 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, hallways, lobby and all common areas.
• Maintain custodial supplies and proper chemical handling.
• Perform snow removal on sidewalks and entrances.
• Conduct minor maintenance like changing bulbs and filters.
• Prepare facility for events and assist with setup.
