Job summary

Lincoln County is seeking a Custodian to perform general cleaning and routine maintenance across county facilities, keeping spaces healthy, safe, and clean.

The role involves floor care, restroom sanitation, trash removal, grounds upkeep, and related tasks. Candidates should have basic knowledge of cleaning methods and be able to work independently with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to perform moderately strenuous manual labor for extended periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Assign work schedules to custodial staff and inspect facilities for cleanliness and safety.
• Clean and dust glass, windows, desks, blinds, walls, and fixtures; sanitize restrooms.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors; empty trash; secure entrances.
• Handle moving/arranging furniture and maintain grounds including snow removal.
• Attend safety classes and learn new building maintenance techniques.
