Job summary

Hopewell Center, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Janitor to maintain, clean, and sanitize all buildings, and keep outside areas safe. You will work in a team-based environment with steady hours.

Candidates should lift up to 50 pounds, follow safety procedures, and communicate effectively with staff. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required; prior experience with developmental disabilities preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform janitorial duties safely.
• Experience with cleaning and sanitation procedures preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to complete required background checks and training.
• Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned work schedules and supervisor direction to complete cleaning tasks thoroughly and on time.
• Clean floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas per schedule.
• Collect and remove trash from bathrooms, hallways, offices, and outside containers.
• Sanitize bathrooms, wipe surfaces, and maintain cleanliness of all facilities.
• Report supply needs to Maintenance Coordinator and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Ensure buildings are secured after shift and assist with miscellaneous duties as requested.
• Perform outdoor maintenance and assist with vehicle deliveries when needed.
