Job summary

Hopewell Center, Inc. seeks a Residential House Manager to oversee daily operations in a group home for residents with developmental disabilities. You will supervise residential staff, manage program data, and ensure accurate financial records.

You will provide direct care when needed, coordinate with families, attend IPP reviews, and participate in on-call rotations. A valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid may be required, with state regulations guiding daily operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of methods to train developmentally disabled individuals and oversee daily living activities.
• Knowledge of medications and documentation; ability to complete medication certification.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and ability to apply them.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing group homes for developmentally disabled individuals.
• Knowledge of IPPs and ability to interpret and implement goals.
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and review of resident financial records.
• Ability to use standard English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; maintain resident activity records.
• Ability to perform data collection, enter programs into data books, and reconcile data.
• Ability to use basic computer skills and communicate via e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Communicates expectations to residential supervisors and reports to QIDP when corrective instruction is necessary.
• Reviews and monitors program data collection and reconciles data; maintains records.
• Oversees resident finances and maintains documentation of accounts.
• Performs duties of Residential Supervisor and provides direct care as needed.
• Attends staff meetings and contributes to program improvement and staff development.
• Oversees maintenance of group homes, vehicles, and equipment; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Plans monthly activity calendars for homes and communicates with residents' families.
• Attends meetings with residents and reviews IPPs to address goals.
• Ensures supplies are purchased and available for efficient operation.
• Plans emergency drills and ensures completion; conducts required training (CPR, first aid, medication administration).
• Provides feedback to QIDP and participates in on-call rotation for emergencies.
• Opens and closes shifts; transports residents as needed using a motor vehicle.
