Job summary

Enhancity in Knoxville, TN is seeking a dedicated janitor to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety across our facilities. The role emphasizes reliable, punctual performance and adherence to protocols while supporting a clean and welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate will perform sweeping, mopping, restroom sanitation, waste removal, surface cleaning, and basic maintenance, with a focus on prompt response to spills and hazards.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
• Physical ability for manual labor including lifting, standing, bending and repetitive motions.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in all areas of the facility.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenishing supplies.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and equipment.
• Wash windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
• Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies, such as spills.
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor.
