The GEO Group, Inc. in Newark, NJ is recruiting for a full-time facilities associate focused on cleaning, safety, and grounds upkeep with a comprehensive benefits package.

You will perform daily housekeeping, inventory, and minor repairs, ensuring compliance with health standards and hazardous materials handling. A high school diploma and physical fitness are required; prior janitorial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience using industrial machinery and knowledge of common janitorial practices and procedures used preferred.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Responsibilities

• Make sure the facility is cleaned according to health and safety standards.
• Inspect the facility and grounds daily for safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct weekly inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain proper handling of chemicals/hazardous materials.
• Maintain a safe working environment and attend safety awareness training.
• You may also make basic minor repairs and take care of trees, shrubs, and lawns.
