Job summary

CSL in San Antonio is seeking a custodial staff member to maintain a clean and orderly donor center. The role involves daily cleaning of break rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and general upkeep. You will perform minor maintenance tasks, manage supplies, and ensure safety standards are followed in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and availability for overtime are required. Bilingual abilities may be needed to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three months experience as a custodian or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
• Occasionally stand and walk up to 100% of the time; lift up to 40 pounds.
• Overtime and extended hours may be required to support center operations.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.

Responsibilities

• Cleans tables, chairs, cabinets, counters and appliances in the break room and donor waiting area.
• Vacuums carpets, dusts furniture and removes trash.
• Cleans windows and doors daily.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks (bulbs, tiles, painting, plumbing, carpentry).
• Monitors grounds and parking lots; picks up litter as needed.
• Assists in recycling and repackaging shipping materials.
• Inspects and cleans restrooms; replaces paper and soap supplies.
• Receives supplies from vendors and moves supplies to storage and released/quarantined areas.
• Ensures safe work environment; follows HSE and OSHA policies and promotes safety.
• Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
