Job summary

Columbus Foundation, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Custodial Team Lead to oversee a custodial crew, ensure safety standards, and maintain high-quality facilities across contract sites.

The role requires organizing schedules, training staff, and coordinating with customers to meet service expectations while upholding OSHA and company rules. Applicants should have leadership experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's preferred but not required.
• Three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in managing small crews.
• This position requires driving as part of the job duties and a valid driver's license; ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including OSHA, state/local, federal, and company regulations.
• Supervise employees and delegate operations schedule to ensure proper coverage.
• Evaluate personnel performance and inspect areas to ensure quality of work; provide hands-on support when needed.
• Identify problems, resolve issues, and advise management to drive continuous quality improvement and exceed customer expectations.
• Track purchasing activities, supply usage, and repairs.
• Ensure labeling, dilution, and storage meet standards.
• Provide on-the-job training for staff on tasks.
• Participate in training and ensure effective communication of information to supervisors, customers, and employees.
• Ensure customer standards are met and assist staff to complete tasks promptly.
• Inspect establishment condition for program compliance (safety, quality, service).
• Audit and maintain equipment.
• Implement and communicate organizational policies and goals to direct reports.
