Job summary

City of Albuquerque is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for custodial maintenance of City facilities on an assigned shift; ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures and perform the more technical and complex tasks relative to the assigned area.

Qualifications

• Education directly related to the minimum requirements may be substituted for experience.
• High School diploma or GED; six years custodial experience; one year lead or supervisory experience.
• Specialized training in maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in custodial work on an assigned shift.
• Establish schedules and methods for custodial services; identify resource needs; allocate resources accordingly.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with policies and procedures; recommend and implement improvements.
• Oversee disposal of hazardous materials and ensure safety standards are met.
