Job summary

City of Albuquerque is seeking a custodial supervisor to supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for custodial maintenance of City facilities on an assigned shift. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least six years of custodial experience, and one year of lead or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work of custodial staff.
• Establish schedules and methods for providing custodial services and allocate resources.
• Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; recommend improvements.
• Inspect facilities to assess quality of maintenance work and address deficiencies.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; order as needed.
• Maintain records on attendance, payroll time sheets, and injuries.
• Handle complaints and respond to inquiries from supervisors and management.
• Assist in staff training and enforce discipline procedures.
• Support, participate in safety and OSHA-related activities and audits.
• Oversee disposal of hazardous materials and waste in line with procedures.
