Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a CREW LEAD I to oversee cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of facilities and grounds across campuses in Colorado. The role involves leading teams, ensuring secure and efficient operation, and coordinating repairs and routine maintenance.

The successful candidate will be 18+, have a high school diploma, and demonstrate leadership with 2+ years of experience. Availability for evenings, weekends, and emergencies is required, with a focus on equity and student

Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience preferred.
Pass a reading test administered by Denver Public Schools.
Successfully complete and pass a paid housekeeping course (20 hour course over 5 days).
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Must be available, on short notice, 24-hours a day and 7-days per week, to respond to any emergency situation.
Must be available for weekend and/or holiday job assignments as required.
Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.

Responsibilities

Monitor and coordinate cleanliness, repair, maintenance and safety of the facility, systems and grounds.
Lead, motivate, mentor and guide others towards goals.
Service, sanitize, clean and supply facility and grounds including restrooms, drinking fountains, floors.
Inspect, install and repair pool related equipment and plumbing systems.
Check and verify facility security and safety by locking doors, windows and gates; report unsafe conditions.
