Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to organize and oversee the facilities team across campuses. You will coordinate issues, maintenance projects, and safety operations while partnering with campus leadership and building managers to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role emphasizes SOP creation, preventive maintenance, security patrols, and effective communication with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 25–50 pounds.
• Experience with handyman tools and ability to work in a distributed team.
• Able to communicate professionally, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facilities issues, projects and activities with campus leadership and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Track and resolve facilities-related matters using the helpdesk system.
• Create and implement SOPs for facilities, including preventive maintenance and cleaning standards.
• Develop and maintain facility schedules for department staff.
• Perform security patrols and monitor for safety hazards.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors courteously.
• Conduct routine maintenance on facilities assets.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors, campus management, and other departments.
