Job summary

Galen College of Nursing seeks a Facilities Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the facilities team across campus operations. You will manage maintenance requests, safety protocols, and vendor coordination to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environment.

This role emphasizes collaboration with campus leadership, adherence to SOPs, and proactive facility management, aligning with our patient-first, supportive educational culture.

Qualifications

• Must stand for long periods and lift 25–50 pounds.
• Experience with handyman/household tools is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication; professional demeanor.
• High analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work in distributed teams; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facilities issues and projects with campus leadership and respond to maintenance requests.
• Use helpdesk system to track and resolve facilities-related matters.
• Create and implement SOPs for facilities like preventive maintenance and cleaning standards.
• Develop and maintain facility schedules for department staff.
• Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and review ongoing work.
• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain janitorial supplies and equipment; ensure inventory is organized.
• Communicate with coworkers, customers, and the public in person or by phone.
• Work with contractors, management, and students; perform routine maintenance.
