A leading non-profit organization in mental health care is seeking a Full-Time Facilities Coordinator to oversee operations and maintenance across NYC. The ideal candidate will take initiative, have significant facilities management experience, and possess a background in related fields. This role entails working closely with staff to ensure service quality and managing various facilities tasks, including safety compliance and vendor management.
Job Summary: Full-Time Facilities Coordinator to provide services for operating and maintaining properties throughout New York City for a non-profit organization. The candidate must take initiative, be proactive, and willing to travel among NYC sites. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 12pm to 8pm.
Essential Functions: Assist the Facilities Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising maintenance and repairs. Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is completed safely, on time, and to standard. Regularly inspect buildings, sites, and equipment. Manage cleaning schedules and custodians. Assign duties, inspect work, and ensure service quality. Support, train, and manage onsite staff. Oversee service contracts and handle site emergencies. Interface with facilities leadership and occupants. Assist in developing the annual management plan and source local services and goods through approved vendors.
Qualifications: Require an Associate degree or higher in a related field and at least 5 years of facilities management experience. Knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, furniture, and building systems is helpful. Strong organizational, management, interpersonal, supervisory, and communication skills. Proficiency in computer use. Must have a valid NY driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle history check.
Training/Licensing: Obtain OSHA 30-hour training, S-12 City Wide Sprinkler Systems Certificate, F-01 Fire Guard, S-95 Fire Alarm Supervision, F-07 Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor, and Certificates of Fitness within specified timeframes.
Other Requirements: Undergo background checks including fingerprinting, SCR clearance, SEL, and K-checks. Maintain clearances throughout employment.
