Job summary

Responsibilities include coordinating with architects and contractors, monitoring schedules and change orders, and maintaining project documentation while reporting progress to district administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in construction management, facilities management, commercial construction, or a related field.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction, renovation, repair, and capital improvement projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate project activities with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, school administrators, and district staff.
• Monitor project schedules, contracts, and construction progress.
• Work closely with Finance to monitor project budgets, review and approve change orders, and ensure expenditures remain within authorized funding levels.
• Conduct regular site visits to evaluate work quality, project status, safety practices, and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Report to finance the recommendation to pay applications, and recommend approval based on work completed.
• Coordinate inspections, punch lists, warranty items, and project closeout documentation.
