Job summary

NOVA is seeking a Manager, Construction Services to lead the Facilities Department’s project management team and oversee the planning, design, procurement and construction of college infrastructure. The role focuses on aligning projects with the college mission and campus operations, while guiding staff and contractors through complex portfolios.

The position emphasizes leadership, process improvements, and adherence to state guidelines, with a focus on safety, timely delivery, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading construction project management teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Direct experience reviewing construction documents and procurement packages.
• OSHA 30 certificate and valid driver’s license.
• Experience in higher education or public-sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 7–10 Project Managers; oversee planning, design and construction of infrastructure.
• Mentor project managers; conduct performance reviews and professional development.
• Review scopes, schedules, budgets, forecasts and procurement documents for quality and alignment.
• Coordinate with cross-campus stakeholders to avoid scope overlap and disruptions to operations.
• Review invoices and ensure compliance with procedures and delegated authority.

Education

Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA)

CCM or PMP certification

OSHA 30 certificate
