Job summary

Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) in Fairfax County seeks a Manager, Construction Services to provide technical, administrative, and supervisory oversight of the College's non-capital construction program.

The position leads a team of Project Managers delivering projects across campuses and may serve as Project Manager for assigned projects as needed, ensuring compliance with NOVA standards and CPSM guidelines.

Qualifications

• Substantial lead PM experience with construction project delivery.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or programs.
• Knowledge of CPSM requirements and public procurement.
• Ability to review and approve scopes, budgets, and procurement packages.
• Experience with design and construction contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 7–10 Project Managers and contractors.
• Review project scopes, schedules, budgets, and documentation for quality and alignment with standards.
• Coordinate procurement of design consultants and contractors.
• Mentor and develop project management staff.
• Promote safety, quality, and customer service across projects.
• Ensure projects align with College mission and CPSM guidelines.
• Serve as Project Manager for assigned projects as needed.
