Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Janitorial Technician in California to keep buildings and restrooms clean and orderly. Responsibilities include floors, rugs, walls, glass, and debris removal, with focus on safety and resident relations.

Requirements include about one year of janitorial experience, a High School Diploma or GED preferred, and a valid California Driver’s License. Schedule is Thursday–Monday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with potential changes.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written directions, keep logs, and perform administrative tasks.
• One year of janitorial or custodial experience required.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming per schedule.
• Empty trash daily and per schedule.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms daily.
• Clean and polish furniture fixtures.
• Clean low level windows, glass partitions and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
• Prepare cleaning solutions per specifications.
• Steam clean or shampoo carpets as needed.
• Strip, seal, finish and polish floors as required.
• Notify management of repairs needed and file work orders.
