Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Housekeeper/Janitor to perform cleaning and maintenance across indoor, outdoor, or mixed environments within the community. The role involves inspecting work, reporting to the Supervisor, and ensuring safety and proper supply usage. Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm, with comprehensive benefits and travel as needed.

Compensation is $19.00 per hour. The position emphasizes strong customer service, multilingual ability, and the ability to operate new equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Uses new equipment safely and follows procedures.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Maintains sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensures security procedures are followed at all times.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Cleans restrooms: floors, dispensers, toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, counters, trash.
• Aspires to always keep equipment in good working condition.
