Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented janitorial associate to perform a range of cleaning tasks across assigned facilities in Columbia, SC.

You will dust, sanitize, vacuum, empty trash, and maintain restrooms and public areas to ensure a sanitary, orderly environment. The role requires reliable, safety-minded team players with the ability to follow instructions and work quietly while serving guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Maintain physical condition to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment safely.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• High dusting of surfaces above shoulder height using proper tools.
• Sanitize and spot-clean surfaces below shoulder height; clean doorknobs and walls.
• Bathroom cleaning including sinks, toilets and dispensers with germicidal solution.
• Empty trash cans; replace liners as needed.
• Floor care: dust mop, vacuum, and mop using proper techniques; spot clean floors as required.
• Grounds care and outdoor area maintenance including sidewalks and benches.
• Clean and maintain public common areas and food court spaces.
• Perform floor sanitizing and inspect room upon completion.
• Follow customer service guidelines and report any issues to supervisor.
