Job summary

Dierbergs Markets, Inc. is seeking a Janitorial Associate to keep stores clean and well-maintained. The role involves performing a wide range of cleaning tasks, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring both indoor and outdoor areas stay presentable for customers.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and read product labels.
• Ability to install banners and promotional items using a ladder.
• Read basic information on chemical names and product labels.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Prompt and regular attendance based on schedule.
• Adherence to dress code, appearance and hygiene standards.
• Hepatitis A vaccination for MO food handling is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and general maintenance to keep the store clean and presentable.
• Respond quickly to intercom requests for maintenance help and cleanups.
• Ensure indoor and outdoor areas are presentable at all times.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, and trash compactors.
• Monitor and clean aisles, offices, and restrooms with approved cleaning supplies.
• Perform minor repairs with hand tools and routine replacements (e.g., light bulbs).
• Work safely to prevent injuries by following OSHA regulations.
• Complete wet and dry cleanups.
• Select proper cleaning solutions for various surfaces.
• Hang banners and promotional items requiring a ladder.
• Move and maneuver trash carts.
