Dierbergs Markets is seeking a Janitorial Associate to keep our stores clean and running at a high level. You will perform cleaning, assist with maintenance requests, and ensure both indoor and outdoor areas look presentable for customers.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to safely use cleaning chemicals with awareness of product labels.
• Able to install banners or promotional items requiring a ladder.
• Read basic information such as chemical names and labels.
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Prompt and regular attendance based on the schedule.
• Adherence to dress code and personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of cleaning and general store maintenance to keep the store presentable.
• Respond to intercom requests for maintenance help and cleanups.
• Clean indoor and outdoor areas and monitor aisles, offices, and restrooms.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers.
• Do minor repairs with hand tools and replace items like light bulbs.
• Follow OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Complete wet and dry cleanups and use proper cleaning solutions.
• Hang banners and promotional items using a ladder and manage trash carts.
