Job summary

MassMutual is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our Facilities Management team on the Springfield, MA campus. The role encompasses maintenance, repair, renovation, and construction projects with emphasis on safety and quality.

Onsite required, Monday to Friday, 8am–4:30pm, supporting a safe and productive workplace for MassMutual employees. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of carpentry experience, proficiency with blueprints, and a Mass CSL license or plan to obtain one within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years carpentry experience, preferably in commercial/property maintenance.
• 2+ years’ experience with blueprint reading and interpreting drawings.
• Massachusetts CSL license or ability to obtain within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work including installation, repair, and maintenance of building components.
• Interpret blueprints and project specs to deliver high-quality results.
• Support renovation, maintenance, and construction projects with precise measurements and installations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to address wear and repair needs.
• Ensure safety, OSHA compliance, and quality standards on all tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
