Job summary

YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is seeking a part-time Facilities Maintenance Assistant to help keep our buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for members. Under the supervision of the Facility Director, you will support preventative maintenance and general upkeep of equipment and spaces, and assist with janitorial duties as needed.

Evening hours are from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with additional hours possible based on staffing and seasonal needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to go up and down stairs and perform physical tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, tools, and equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, including their safe use.
• Previous custodial or maintenance experience in a public facility or similar environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and proper chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Support overall facility maintenance and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general upkeep of YMCA equipment and spaces.
• Assist with janitorial services.
• Respond to emergency repairs as needed.
