Job summary

Facade Today is seeking a Building Engineer in Mahwah, NJ. The role focuses on daily operation, maintenance, and appearance of the facility, ensuring a safe, efficient environment for occupants and visitors.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests, supporting events, and maintaining logs. Requires 3–5 years in building maintenance, a CFC license, and strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial building maintenance experience.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance knowledge.
• CFC Universal License required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building inspections and equipment rounds.
• Record operating readings for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Monitor BMS/BAS and respond to alarms outside normal hours.
• Inspect boilers, AHUs, rooftop units, exhaust fans, and electrical rooms.
• Identify deficiencies and initiate corrective actions.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks per schedule.
• Troubleshoot repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting.
• Maintain accurate logs, readings, and work orders.
