Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Facilities Engineering & Maintenance Manager to serve as the on-site engineering and maintenance resource at a NAPA distribution center. You will oversee maintenance of the facility, troubleshoot automation equipment, plan maintenance activities, and drive improvements to support run-state operations.

The role requires leading a maintenance team, managing budgets, ensuring OSHA and environmental compliance, and coordinating projects from planning to completion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in automation engineering or similar in industrial setting.
• Minimum 2 years’ people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
• Experience with reliability engineering concepts like FMEA and RCA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of physical infrastructure and automation systems.
• Lead field engineering and maintenance teams to sustain run-state operations.
• Develop PM programs aligned with OEM specs and safety standards.
• Manage facilities budgets and contracts; coordinate external vendors.
• Lead root cause analyses to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Track KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and PM compliance.
• Ensure OSHA, NFPA, EPA compliance and safety standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and operations on upgrades.
