United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer (Facilities) to design, build, and commission control systems for advanced manufacturing and critical infrastructure. Based in Hawthorne, CA, you will develop automated solutions, lay out panels, and deploy equipment into production while maintaining schedules and budgets.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 1+ year of experience in automation and controls for industrial applications; familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• 1+ years of professional experience in automation and controls for industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in initial equipment conceptual development balancing specs, requirements, cost, and lead time.
• Lay out industrial electrical control panels and create electrical/pneumatic/f fluid schematics.
• Simulate processes to inform design viability using simulation tools.
• Architect, write, and debug PLC code for manufacturing applications.
• Develop simple screens for complex machinery for troubleshooting feedback.
• Manage electrical cabinets, field wiring, and fluid/plumbing work.
• Select and size servo motors and controllers.
• Deploy automated processes into production.
• Maintain schedules and budgets to ensure project completion.
