Job summary

SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP is seeking a SR. AUTOMATION & CONTROLS ENGINEER to design and build advanced manufacturing facilities in Hawthorne, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in automation and controls systems, with expertise in PLC programming and building automation for critical infrastructure. This position offers a competitive salary between $130,000 - $180,000 along with comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, retirement plans, and stock options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in the design and commissioning of automation and controls systems for industrial applications.
• Hands-on experience building and commissioning high quality electrical control panels and electromechanical systems.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 79, UL508A codes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in initial equipment conceptual development.
• Lay out new industrial electrical control panels.
• Deploy automated processes and equipment into production.

Skills

Knowledge in building automation systems for critical infrastructure

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

PLC programming experience

C#, .NET, python and/or SQL experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
